The Devil's Due
After
working 19 months on my hopefully-world-class,
VW show Trike, the "DEVIL'S DUE!"
it has finally moved from my drawing
board to my driveway. It's
a very radical 60 degree chopper with
a 6' dramatic inverted springer front
fork, festooned with fantasy sword and
dagger blades, and the wheel base is
nearly 2' longer than the wheelbase
of a new Signature Series Lincoln Town
Can. Tip to tip, my "DEVIL'S DUE!"
measures 15' 2 1/2". The brake/tail
lights are Model "T" replicas,
and for added visibility, there are
dual flashing, multi-colored, LED lights
on top of the whips. And, naturally,
the bold leading links are powder-coated
devil's pitchforks of my own tribal
design. I know you'll cringe at some
of this wildness, but remember, here
in the land of the Daytona Bike Week,
with no helmet laws, no insurance laws
and no safety nor other inspections,
my "DEVIL'S DUE!" is considered
really quite conservative indeed!
