Patrick's 1974 Thing

Summertime in Alaska, and my Thing right before it was shortened by about a foot in an accident. It was rear ended by one and pushed in to another. I drove this car for about five years summer and winter before this happened.
It was a 1974 model and I had everything for it. The front window bra, the bag for the side curtains and the covers for the soft top frame. Plus heater boxes and all the plastic ducting for stock heat. The crash happened right before my son was born so it was 14 years ago now (I'm still kick myself for selling it.) But I still have my '66 Ghia and my '76 Bug that I replaced the Thing with, for my winter car. I am restoring the Bug (heat channels and floor pans and new paint) and should have it up and running by fall I hope. The Ghia still looks OK for a 19 year old garage paint job but it is starting to show it's age. I will be starting to clean it up when the Bug is back up and running.
