Brian's Empi Imp

I purchased my Empi Imp in the Fall of 2003 for $1500. I did not have too much knowledge about dune buggies and/or VW's in general at the time. I did know it was fun to drive. That winter I stripped it down and rebuilt everything from the ground, up. If it was rusty, it was sand-blasted and painted or replaced new. I finished the rebuild in about 5 months. I did not realize the history behind the car until come to find out, it was a pre-1970 original Empi Imp survivor. We like to go to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, street cruisin', and the race track. She is powered by a 1915 and can run the 1/8th mile in 8.74s (1/4 mile in 14.01s). The car has no turbo or nitrous installed. I plan on going faster once the fine tuning is figured out.
